The editor:

We would like to thank the Rowan County Christmas board members for the countless hours they work to ensure this organization can be the best it can be each year. We’re very grateful for those who volunteer their time through out the year.

We would like to thank the community for their continued monetary support too.

On Dec. 13 at Distribution Day, Rowan County Christmas program served over 400 families, whose Christmas will be brighter because of the dedicated supporters and the volunteer board members.

We want to thank those that come to help set-up and work countess hours to ensure those in need are provided a gift. And the city and county officials who have supported this program for 26 years, the banks, churches, Morehead State University staff and students, Christian Social Services for taking the clients applications, St.Claire Regional Hospital for supporting the Senior Citizens room, Walmart for providing the carts for the clients to shop with on this day, and Storybook Christmas for providing books for the clients, Allen’s IGA for participating in the food voucher program, and anyone who was involved this year.

God has blessed Rowan Christmas’ gift giving programs board once again and guided us to stay true to our mission. The gift of giving is contagious and if you would like learn more about Rowan County Christmas, then visit the website for Rowan County Christmas or the Facebook page.

God bless you all!
