MOREHEAD Rowan County Circuit Court Clerk Kim Barker-Tabor said the state's driver licensing system was down, however, the system was back online as of 1 p.m. Monday.
Circuit Court Clerk offices and KYTC operated licensing offices are back up and able to issue licenses. The nationwide system issue with @AAMVAConnection is resolved. Thank you for your patience.— KYTC (@KYTC) January 13, 2020
The outage affected permit testing, renewals and commercial driver licensing (CDL) activities.
A connectivity issue was to blame and it brought the system down statewide. The system was also down most of Friday for the same issues, according to Tabor.
For more information, call the circuit court clerk's office at (606) 783-8505 before arriving.
