Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball visited Morehead State University’s Craft Academy for Excellence in Science in Mathematics on Monday.
While visiting, Treasurer Ball shared her favorite leadership lessons with the students and encouraged them about the importance of the work they are doing in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
“It is great to see Morehead State University promote STEM learning with the Craft Academy,” Treasurer Ball said. “I enjoyed hearing about the innovative work of the Craft Academy’s students and was glad to have the opportunity to talk with them about the importance of their studies.”
The Craft Academy is a dual-credit residential high school for academically exceptional Kentucky students. The academic rigor of the Craft Academy challenges students to excel at their highest level through project-based STEM courses and hands-on learning experiences, with emphasis on innovation, design and creativity, and civic and regional engagement.
