Motorists should expect traffic changes on KY 32 in Rowan County again this week as contractors resurface the highway on the Morehead side of the I-64 interchange.

Beginning Wednesday morning, July 31, crews will close the center three lanes of KY 32 between the I-64 off ramps and just prior to the Carl Perkins Center for milling, or removal, of old blacktop. Paving will then start Wednesday night. Milling will continue each day through Friday, Aug. 2, with paving operations continuing each night.

Work will require shifting lane closures with one-lane traffic and flagged traffic at times. Delays are likely, and motorists should plan travel accordingly or seek alternate routes during construction.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Please heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
