The chamber of commerce presented awards at its annual picnic June 6 including the Ora L. Cline Award, given to a caring, supportive community-minded individual with perseverance and patience that has helped make the community a better place to live, work and visit.

This was awarded to Steve Young.

Other winners included New Business of the Year, New Frontier Outfitters; Community Organization of the Year, Rowan 360; Educator of the Year, Dr. Dan Connell; Horizon Award, First Friday Outdoor Market; Community Partners Award, Build-A-Bed Project; Outstanding Young Professional, Beth Reynolds; and Service Above Self, Kenna Allen-Guache.
