Morehead Mayor Laura White-Brown has been elected to serve on the 2019-2020 Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) Board of Directors. The 65-member board's primary responsibility is to set the KLC legislative agenda.

KLC is an association with more than 370 municipal members that provides a number of services for cities including advocacy, training, legal and other services, as well as successful insurance and finance programs.

The mayor said she considered it an honor to have been selected by her peers from across the commonwealth to serve in this capacity and looks forward to the opportunities the statewide leadership position will provide for Morehead.

"I am excited to represent the City of Morehead in this capacity. KLC constantly provides resources that help cities pursue projects and networking opportunities that benefit everyone in their community. I look forward to serving with outstanding representation from across the state," said Mayor Laura White-Brown.

"KLC is fortunate to have an engaged and diverse board representing cities of all sizes across the commonwealth," said Jonathan Steiner, KLC executive director/CEO. "We look forward to Mayor White-Brown's enthusiasm and input."
