In an ongoing effort to promote apprenticeship opportunities for students and business partners, Maysville Community & Technical College has hired a full-time project coordinator to oversee the program.

Maysville native Michael Cooper comes to MCTC after spending eight years of in various roles in higher education. Most recently he was the Ohio Means Jobs Manager based at the Fayette Campus of Southern State Community College.

Cooper will join the Workforce Solutions Department at MCTC as part of a $2.7 million investment over the next three years by the Kentucky Community & Technical College System to work with businesses to close workforce gaps through a new business-first initiative.
