Caroline Horton, 43, ex-wife of James Marty Horton, was arrested outside the Rowan County Judicial Center Monday on two trafficking in a controlled substance warrants.
Ms. Horton, who allegedly was living at her ex-husband’s mobile home in Wildwood Mobile Home Park when he was arrested Aug. 13 on two trafficking charges, was served with arrest warrants as she left a pre-trial hearing on her ex-husband’s additional felony charges.
She is being held at the Rowan County Detention Center on two $25,000 cash bonds.
Horton’s alleged “right-hand man”, David Jason Roe, 35, also was arrested the same afternoon on two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
Grand jury indictments were served at Roe’s 121 Walker Branch residence Monday.
He joins the Hortons at the Rowan County Detention Center and is being held on cash bonds totaling $300,000.
Rowan County sheriff’s deputies served James Marty Horton with five additional warrants at the Rowan County Detention Center late Monday.
He is being held on six counts of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree and four counts of being a persistent felony offender. His cash bonds now total $1.3 million.
The Rowan County sheriff’s office estimates Horton was distributing more than 1,200 pills daily with an estimated profit of $15,000 a day.
