The Morehead post of the Kentucky State Police has made four arrests in an alleged Florida and Ohio drug pipeline.
According to the KSP, there are more arrests to come in an organized crime ring in which several people from West Liberty would attain pills from pain clinics in both Ohio and Florida and bring them back to traffick them.
Bonita Fraley, 31, Edwina Lykins, 46, Jonathan Adkins, 30, and Regina Adkins, 30, all of West Liberty, have been charged with engaging in organized crime and trafficking, according to police.
“We had informants that broke over and told of the arrangements (to take the trips and buy the pills),” Trooper Chris Sizemore said. “They would sponsor the trips and divide the pills as payment. We’ve got evidence from pain clinics in Ohio and Florida.”
The investigation, which has more arrests pending, is ongoing by Sizemore.
