MOREHEAD – Thirty persons were indicted by a Rowan County grand jury on Dec. 20, 2019.

Indicted were:

• Brandy Muse, 34, for theft by unlawful taking and altering a state lottery ticket when police say she took lottery tickets without paying for them and either cashed the winning tickets or threw away the losing tickets, and took $342.51 from the cash register when employed at Fast Lane Tobacco between Aug. 1 and Oct. 17, 2019.

• Ladonna Anderson, 31, for three counts possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia when police say she had methamphetamine, buprenorphine and needles and tourniquets on Oct. 7, 2019.

• Nicholas James Cameron, 39, for rape, three counts sexual abuse, unlawful transaction with a minor and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor when police say he abused a child under age 12 between Jan. 1, 2015 and Oct. 3, 2019.

• Clyde Whitt Jr., 23 and Seth Ferguson, 18, for theft by unlawful taking and three counts burglary when police say they took over $650 from another and remained in two businesses with the intent to commit a crime between Oct. 1 and Oct. 24, 2019.

• Benjamin M. Garner, 36, for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia when police say he had meth and glass pipes, needles and scales on Oct. 17, 2019.

• Virginia B. Stephens, 43, for two counts possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia when police say she had meth, two gabapentin and glass pipes, needles and scales on Oct. 17, 2019.

• John I. Jones, 21, for wanton endangerment and terroristic threatening when police say he pointed a gun at Junior Pelfrey at Poppy Mountain and threatened him on Sept. 1, 2019.

• Brian Keller, 47, for possession of a controlled substance when police say he had meth on Aug. 3, 2019.

• Gerald Eugene Porter, 36, for possession of a controlled substance when police say he had meth on Oct. 27, 2019.

• Nickie Robinson, 40, for four counts criminal possession of a forged instrument when police say she passed $372.09 in forged checks at Walmart between July 25 and July 26, 2019.

• Jason Smith, 38, for possession of a controlled substance when police say he had meth on June 29.

• Chasity Williams, 38, for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence when police say she had heroin, syringes and a metal spoon and attempted to conceal suspected drugs on Oct. 17, 2019.

• Lincoln Brown, 28, for four counts criminal possession of a forged instrument when police say he passed $1,38.14 in forged checks at Walmart between Oct. 21 and Oct. 23, 2019.

• Darrell Long, 41, and Dora Long, 53, for theft by unlawful taking when police say they took control of more than $26,466.41 and spent it on things unrelated to the care of another between May 1 and Nov. 30, 2018.

• Jesse R. Cox, 29, for possession of firearm by convicted felon, assault, menacing and violation of protective order when police say he had a rifle and threatened or assaulted two women on Sept. 25, 2019.

• Christian T. Dailey, 25, for possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing when police say he had meth on Oct. 5, 2019.

• Matthew Hollingsworth, 33, for receiving stolen property/firearm when police say he had a stolen pistol between Nov. 16 and Nov. 27, 2019.

• Brian Lamont Johnson, 56, and Brian Keith Graves, 52, for theft when police say they took six Robot vacuums worth $1,679.94 from Lowes on Oct. 13, 2019.

• Diego Maldonado, 22, for trafficking in marijuana and trafficking in a synthetic drug when police say he trafficked in 11.25 pounds of marijuana and etizolam on Oct. 15.

• Cody N. Mudrinich, 31, for two counts trafficking in a controlled substance when police say he trafficked in 1.158 grams of meth and narcotics on Oct. 6, 2019.

• Gary Lee Perry, 39, for possession of a controlled substance when police say he had heroin on Oct. 17, 2019.

• Michael E. Perry, 62, for two counts trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana when police say he trafficked in meth and buprenorphine on Aug. 13.

• Jessie E. Smith, 46, for possession of a controlled substance when police say he had meth on Sept. 29, 2019.

• Brionne R. Treadway, 38, for trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia when police say she had 27.044 grams of Fentanyl on Oct. 5.

• William M. Mocabee, 54, for three counts trafficking in a controlled substance when police say he trafficked in 7.9 grams of meth or a mixture of Fentanyl and meth between Oct. 3 and Oct. 11, 2019.

• Julie Marie Literal, 21, for wanton endangerment, assault and menacing when police say she threatened a woman with a knife and hit her in the chest on Nov. 24.

• Michael R. Conn, 63, for possession of a controlled substance when police say he had oxycodone on Oct. 25, 2018.

The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only. That person is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the state must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
