Hope Pregnancy Care Center will be hosting its 22nd Annual Walk for Life on Saturday, May 4.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will start at 9 a.m. The walk fundraiser route is just short of three miles. It will begin at the Hope Center and go around town-campus-and back to Hope. Those participating will be responsible for picking up a form from Hope to document their sponsor(s).
There will be drawings for donated items (such as gift cards) and everyone who raises $125 or more will receive a free T-shirt. The youth group who raises the most money will receive a free pizza party. Refreshments, face painting and music will be provided.
The walk is one of three fundraisers for Hope PCC each year. All funds received go directly to sustain the free services Hope provides. These services include pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes with incentives to be used in the on-site store (baby clothes for boys and girls up to 2T, blankets, hats, bibs, shoes, bottles, diapers, wipes, etc. all donated), GED classes, and financial management classes.
It also refers clients to other existing community resources that can help them with housing, food, medical, and financial needs.
Hope PCC’s mission is to reach out to girls, women, men and families that find themselves in difficult situations regarding unplanned pregnancy and parenting. They strive to educate clients with accurate information as well as support them through decisions in an environment characterized by the love of Jesus.
