CoffeeTree Books will be hosting a lace knitting workshop with Becky ffitch on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., which will coincide with daughter and author Madeline ffitch’s Meet & Greet with reading/signing from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Copies of her latest book, Stay and Fight, will be available for purchase.
Stay and Fight is a contemporary Appalachian novel about family, place and perseverance. An amalgamated family fights for the freedom to live true to their values and morals, facing challenges from within their circle as they struggle for leadership as government, local institutions and the exploitation of natural resources endanger their way of life.
Madeline ffitch writes and organizes in Appalachian Ohio. She was a founding member of the punk theater company, The Missoula Oblongata, and is the author of the story collection, Valparaiso, Round the Horn. Madeline has been awarded residencies at Yaddo and at the MacDowell Colony. She is the author of Stay and Fight from Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
