Morehead State’s football Eagles found themselves on the other end of a blowout Saturday night, losing 52-21 at Illinois State.

Last week, MSU crushed Kentucky Christian, 67-0.

ISU’s Redbirds charged out to a 24-0 lead in the first period and never looked back.

MSU finally got on the scoreboard with 8:59 left in the third period when Desmond Cox scored on a one-yard run.

Eagle quarterback Zach Lewis hit Kevin Thomas with touchdown passes of 21 and 19 yards.

Lewis threw for 371 yards but the Eagles were limited to a minus 48 yards on the ground and committed three turnovers.

MSU plays next Saturday at St. Francis of Pennsylvania.
