Ronald A. Dillon

April 12, 2012 — 1951-2012

Ronald A. Dillon, 60, of Mount Gilead, Ohio, passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday, April 7th, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born on September 1, 1951, in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Rudell Royse Dillon and Verna Jewell (Caudill) Dillon.

He attended Mansfield Senior High School and was previously employed by Ohio Brass and Peabody Barnes before retiring from Ariel Corp., after nearly 21 years of loyal, dedicated service on July 1st, 2011.  He was a resident of Chesterville, Ohio for nearly 20 years.  Ron attended the Waterford United Methodist Church.  His interests included antique tractors and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Ron is survived by his wife, Linda Dillon of Chesterville, Ohio, his daughter Stephanie R. Morgan and her husband Patrick and his son Noah of New Straitsville, Ohio.  He is survived by his son Andrew T. Dillon and his wife Maria and their sons Chase and Jacob and her children Alexis and Elijah of Mansfield, Ohio. Also Mykala. Ron is also survived by his sisters, Sandra S. Dillon of Mansfield, Ohio, Wanda M. Dillon (John Helms) of Fort Worth, Texas and Helen R. Dillon-Bennett (Michael Bennett) of Fayetteville, North Carolina.  His uncle Eldon Ray Dillon, his aunts Ida Belle Dillon, Ruby Terrell and Betty Gibson, all of Morehead, his aunt Flora Lee Brown (Seldon) of Dunbar, West Virginia, two nephews, and one niece and numerous cousins, and a special cousin, Donald Royse of Morehead, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his infant brother, Michael R. Dillon.

A memorial service to celebrate Ron’s life was held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in Mount Vernon, Ohio.


Interment will be in the Dillon Family Cemetery in Morehead, Kentucky, on Saturday, April 14th, 2012.
