Janice Kay Green Bettis

1941-2007


COLORADO - Janice Kay Green Bettis passed away early Tuesday morning of June 12, 2007 in a Medical center in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 65. Jan was born in Morehead, Ky. September 14,1941, daughter to the late former Rowan County Sheriff Sam L. Green and wife Maude (Davis) Green. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mavis Ellington of Missouri, and one brother, "Bub" Sam L. Green Jr. of Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Art Bettis, a retired high rise construction worker, their daughters Bridgette Masten and her husband Walter, Shantel Bettis and her granddaughter River Dawn, all of Denver Colorado; two sisters, Leona Warren of West Liberty, Ky. and Shirley Farris of Riverside, Calif., a brother, Jimmy Green of Sturgeon, Missouri, and a wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Jan was a Breckenridge graduate of the class of ’59. A memorial service was held for her June 14, 2007 in Denver, Colorado. Jan will be missed by all who knew her and forever in the hearts of all who loved her.



Anna V. Gross Easterling

1917-2007


MOREHEAD - Anna V. Gross Easterling, age 90, of KY Hwy. 711, West Liberty, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.

Born February 13, 1917, in Morgan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Dora Callahan Gross. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Easterling, in 1976; two sons, Eldon Easterling and Boyd Easterling, Jr.; and one grandson, Paul David Hardin.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Janice Easterling and James and Toni Easterling, all of West Liberty, Kentucky; two daughters, Joann Hardin and Sandi Ruth, both of Morehead, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Easterling was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and flowers.
