Mary Laverne Coffey Arnett 1924-2008
MOREHEAD - Mary Laverne Coffey Arnett, age 83, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio.
She was born August 12, 1924, in Renfro Valley, Rockcastle County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Justice and Gladden Proctor Coffey. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Jean Coffey and Charles and Thelma Coffey, and two sisters, Louise Morrissey and Ollie Grace Coffey.
On December 21, 1944, she was united in marriage to her husband, the Rev. Sherman R. Arnett, who preceded her in death on September 4, 2000, after 55 years of marriage.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda (Jim) Engle of South Vienna, Ohio, and two sons, Gerald Arnett of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Dr. Larry (Dr. Shelia) Arnett of Morehead, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Andrew) Vorhees of Independence, Kentucky; Dr. Mark (Tamara) Engle of Columbus Ohio; Brandy (Toby) Coyle of Berea, Kentucky; Brett (Megan) Arnett of Morehead, Kentucky; Brooke Arnett of Morehead, Kentucky; and Blake Arnett of Morehead, Kentucky; and four great grandchildren, Will and Anna Engle of Columbus, Ohio, and Henry and Charlie Vorhees of Independence, Kentucky.
Mary is also survived by one sister, Wanda (Frank) Pospisil of Kettering, Ohio; two brothers, James B. (Carol Ann) Coffey of Englewood, Ohio; Roger Coffey of Kettering, Ohio; one brother-in-law Bill Morrissey of Dayton, Ohio; and two sisters-in-law, Louise Coffey of Dayton, Ohio; and Lorena Arnett of Morehead, Kentucky; many loved nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
Mrs. Arnett received the B.A. and M.A. degrees from Morehead State University. She was a teacher and librarian at Fox Valley and Hillsboro elementary schools in Fleming County, Kentucky, for five years and librarian at Morehead State University Johnson-Camden Library from 1969 until her retirement in 1990.
She enjoyed flower gardening, needlework, puzzles, reading and caring for her family. Mary was a member of the Salt Lick Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., and the Rev. Ben Furman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is after 2 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Isalene Caudill 1926-2008
INDIANA - Isalene Caudill, 81, of Selma, Ind. died Friday, February 15, 2008 at her home in Selma.
She was born on October 20, 1926 in Morehead, Ky., the daughter of Nathan Workman and Viola Skages. On December 23, 1944 in Morehead, KY she married Wayne Caudill, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Bill Caudill, (wife, Laura) of Selma, David Caudill, (wife, Wanda) of Selma; daughter, Caroletta Brewer, (husband, Fred) of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Mary Sparks, Darren Habegger (wife, Melinda) Adam Landis, Jakaylia Caudill, Ryan Caudill, Aaron Caudill, Ritchie Caudill, Karin Caudill, Brad Clayton, (wife, Jenny); 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Gertrude Hall; four brothers, Allie, Clyde, Herman, Robert Workman.
Services were Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN. Burial at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie.

Raney Eldridge Conley 1924-2008
MOREHEAD – Raney Eldridge Conley, 83, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 20, 1924 in Logan, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Will and Nola Lyons Eldridge.
Mrs. Conley was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist and Church of God Faith. Mrs. Conley was an avid quilter and she enjoyed raising flowers and vegetable gardens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Conley who passed away on March 31, 1967, three daughters, Betty Jean Conley and twin infant daughters, Maxene Conley and Irene Conley, one brother, Jesse Eldridge and four sisters, Stella Caskey, Nella Eldridge, Sarah Jane Fannin and Fannie Perry.
Survivors include three sons, Eddie Conley and his wife, Lela of Lancaster, Kentucky, Gary Ray Conley and his wife Loretta of Panama City Beach, Florida and James Edward Conley and his wife, Shari of Crain Creek, four daughters, Madeline McKee and her husband, Terry of Muses Mill, Mary Pendland of Mt. Carmel, Cathy Wilson and her husband, Denny of Morehead and Brenda Conley of Morehead, two sisters, Wanda Faye Myers of Henderson, Nevada and Josephine Thompson and her husband, Clifton of Ashland, Ohio, ten grandchildren, Terry E. McKee, Jr., Sheila Pendland Fawns, Joshua McKee, Bithinny McKee, Kyle Wilson, Alex Pendland, Jennifer Conley Caudill, Christopher Conley, Jamie Conley and Jason Conley, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 23, 2008 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Max Molihan officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Run Cemetery at Wallingford. Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Friday.
Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
