Anna Lee Jones Black
1935-2008


MOREHEAD - Anna Lee Jones Black, age 72, of Wallingford, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg. She was born October 14, 1935, in Rowan

County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Willie Lee and Anna Jane Lewis Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lowell Gene Jones on January 31, 2002.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Campbell and wife Barbara of Cleveland, Ohio, and Rick Campbell of Lexington, Kentucky; two daughters, Phyllis Davis of Morehead, Kentucky, and Brenda Wise and husband Rick of Lexington, Kentucky; two brothers, Kenneth Jones and wife Robin of Mays Lick, Kentucky, and Burl Ray Jones and wife Janice of Morehead, Kentucky; a sister, Loretta Joyce Jones Weaver and husband Bill of Wallingford, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Mrs. Black was a former employee of the Dixie Grill in Morehead and attended the Mt. Pisgah Christian Church.

Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2008, at Mt. Pisgah Church with the Rev. James DeAtley officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Ray Jones, Shawn Jones, Mike Davis, Dale Davis, Erick Campbell, and Rickey Lee Campbell.

Visitation was after 5 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Tansey Marie Kinder Gulley
1925-2008


MOREHEAD - Tansey Marie Kinder Gulley, age 82, of Yellville, Arkansas, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the Marion County Nursing Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

She was born on March 29, 1925, in Morehead, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Robert Harrison and Beatrice Fraley Kinder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvie Gulley on September 26, 1960; two sons, Fred and DeWayne Gulley; four brothers, Lloyd, Harrison, George and Bobby Kinder; and one sister, Alta Mae McClease.

Tansey Marie is survived by two sons, Larry Gulley and wife Sharon of Chesterfield, Indiana, and Tim Gulley, Sr. and wife Lisa of Muncie, Indiana; two daughters, Bonnie Sanders and husband Mike of Yellville, Arkansas, and Sandra Sargent and husband Tony of Flippin, Arkansas; her daughter-in-law, Joyce Gulley of Selma, Indiana; one brother, Dan Kinder of Morehead, Kentucky; two sisters, Laura Cooper of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and Louise Estep of Parker City, Indiana. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Tansey Marie was a former Nursing Assistant at the Delaware County Nursing Home in Delaware County, Indiana. She was a member of the Blountsville Nazarene Church in Blountsville, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Lansford May and Reverend Butch Kelsey officiating.

Burial will follow at the Clark Cemetery on Cranston Road. Pallbearers will be Marvin McClease, Amos Wright, Carl Estep, Mickey Pierce, Forrest Cooper, Dallas Brown, and Ronnie Estep.

Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Essie Trent Kidd
1933-2008


MOREHEAD – Essie Trent Kidd, 74, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

She was born on November 19, 1933 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Elick and Gracie Slone Trent.

Mrs. Kidd was a former employee of Morehead State University. She was a member of the Elliottville Baptist Church and she enjoyed flowers, raising a garden and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth B. Kidd who passed away on May 12, 2007, one step-son, Jackie Lee Kidd, two brothers, Clint Trent and Clell Trent and five sisters, Inez Scott, Ina Woodrow, Lena Reynolds, Verna Kegley and Betty Kegley.

Survivors include one daughter, Bernadine Wright of Morehead, one step-son, Tony A. Kidd and his wife, Janie of Elliott County, two step-daughters, Tammy Williams and her husband, Douglas of Morgan County and Loretta Stamper and her husband, Brownie of Morehead, one brother, Arnold Trent of Morehead, three sisters, Bessie Hamm of South Carolina, Dina Stegall of Morehead and Lillie Adkins of Sandy Hook, five grandchildren, Stacy Wilson, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wilson, Jonathon Williams and Amber Wright, seven step-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, Stephanie Kidd, Elisha Harris, Lindsay Williams, John Williams, Chris Stamper, Danielle Stamper and Tara Stamper and ten step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 3, 2008 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial was in the Kidd Family Cemetery at Blairs Mill.

Pallbearers were Rocky Kidd, Albert Kidd, Jonathon Williams, Stevie Wilson, Brian Wilson and Amber Wright.

Roy Edward Fraley
1919-2008


MOREHEAD – Roy Edward Fraley, 88, of 320 Plank Chapel Road passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 in the Life Care Center.

He was born on February 23, 1919 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Jake and Myrtle Plank Fraley.

Mr. Fraley was a farmer, a former employee of Ray L. White and Sons Lumber Company, a state highway worker and a United States Veteran having served during World War II. He enjoyed farming and making tobacco sticks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-nine years, Oma Whisman Fraley who passed away on June 4, 1991, two brothers, Zenith Fraley and John Fraley, three sisters, Cressie Lawson, Rena Hamilton and Mayme Spence, one grandson, William Edward Murphy, Jr. and his son-in-law, Bill Murphy.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Caskey and her husband, Jimmy and Judy Fraley Wallace all of Morehead, two brothers, Joe Fraley and David Fraley both of Morehead, six grandchildren, Dale (Lisa) Caskey, Terri (Jerry) Clark, Susie (Dwight) Perkins, Billie Ann Murphy Douglas, Linvil (Tabitha) Wallace and Roy Vencil Wallace, seventeen great-grandchildren, Sara Nicole Perkins, Justin (Cassandra) Perkins, Christopher Caskey, Crayton Caskey, Trevor Clark, Frankie Clark, Jesse Clark, Benjamin Edward Wallace, Shelby Raye Wallace, Austin Wallace, Walker Wallace, Clifton Wallace, Kyle Murphy, Jessica Douglas, Alexis Lang, A. J. Lang and Joshua Thomas Wallace, special honorary grandchildren, Lawrence Logan and Wilma McCleese Logan and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Don Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in the Hogge Cemetery at Cranston. Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Linvil Wallace, Roy Wallace, Dwight Perkins, Justin Perkins, Lawrence Logan, Jerry Clark, Trevor Clark, Jesse Clark, Frankie Clark, Crayton Caskey and Christopher Caskey and honorary pallbearers will be Denzil Fraley, Joe Fraley, Kyle Murphy, Gary Fraley, Vaughn Fraley, Harold Fraley, Dallas Fraley, Milton Hamilton and Brian Littleton.
