All kinds of Eagle excitement

This is a great time to be an Eagle!
It’s clear to me that our student-athletes and coaches have made sincere, genuine efforts to be part of the greater Morehead-Rowan County community.
Our own hometown newspaper has documented countless instances of their participation in local activities, including the support of all our sports teams, from U-5 soccer to little league basketball, T-ball events, and flag football.
My own 7-year-old son really thinks he’s “big time” when these young people go out of their way to show that they care about him and his team. I’ve been fortunate to see countless faces light up this year and believe me, it’s rewarding as a parent and part of this community to witness it.
Morehead State and Eagle Athletics remain focused to be the best institution and best athletic program in the South and our students, fans, employees, and the like are all committed to this focused direction in everything we do. Now we need you to join us!
As of this writing, there are ten home games left on the slate for the 2007-08 basketball season. A limited number of great seats remain available and while we haven’t sold them on a season basis, we want to extend an offer, your last chance, to get in on the fun this season. If you have had the good fortune to see us play and know that our basketball student-athletes are giving their all, you already recognize how fun it is to be a part of the excitement. Our men’s team has yet to taste defeat in Johnson Arena this season and is one of the hottest teams in America while our women’s team hit 15 3-point shots in their last home game, a victory over Jacksonville State to put us in position for a promising run into the last month of the season. The atmosphere in the AAC has been electric.
We’re offering a one-time only “Stretch Run” ticket package. For just $45, you can purchase a lower-arena reserved ticket that will gain you entry into all of the following events:

January 29 Men vs. Tennessee Tech 7 pm
February 2 Men vs. Kentucky Christian 7 pm
February 7 Women and Men vs. Southeast Missouri 5:15/7:30 pm
February 9 Women and Men vs. Murray State 2:00/4:15 pm
February 23 Women vs. Tennessee Tech 2 pm
February 28 Women and Men vs. Tennessee State 5:15/7:30 pm
March 1 Women and Men vs. Austin Peay 5:15/7:30 pm

That’s a $36 savings (44%) off the per-game price and these tickets aren’t even available for sale at the gate! What’s more, you can purchase a general admission package for the same “stretch run” for just $35.
The lower-arena tickets are extremely limited, so first-come, first served. Also, by purchasing these tickets in bulk, you can “lock in” that location for the first round of the OVC tournament, should MSU host a game or games and be placed on a priority list for 2008-09 seats.
This deal will only be available through January 31, so hurry! Call the MSU Ticket Office at 606-783-2386.
The Morehead News and www.msueagles.com are great places to keep up with what’s happening in Eagle Athletics. Both sources have all the most current information about conference placement, tournament information, upcoming promotions, and the like.
Thanks for your support of our young men and women whose Eagle pride is really evident. To our student crowd, keep it up…we need you.
Go Eagles!
