Barton led the offense, going three for three with a single, double and triple.

Brian Holeman, Brett McKinney, Bryce McKinney, Nick Bradley and Austin Kier all contributed singles while Dalton Collett ripped a double.

In the nightcap, the Falcons faced the Eagles from Blue Grass Baptist School in Lexington for the first time this season.

Collett went the distance in the 8-2 win for the Falcons on the way to his fourth win for the season. The Falcon ace struck out 16 batters while giving up only 1 walk and 1 hit.

Blue Grass' Matt Marcum kept the match close through three innings with the Falcons up 2-1.

Lakeside blew it open in the fourth inning with six runs, while it kept the Eagles offense stagnant with one run for the remainder of the game. Clay Barton was perfect at the plate again in the game going 2 for 2 and 1 walk. Barton hit a triple and scored in the first inning to draw first blood, followed with a double and round trip back to home in the third inning to take back the lead for LCA.
