A hit-and-run accident Thursday sent one 20-year-old woman to the hospital and has police looking for a white Chevy pickup presumed to be the vehicle involved in the accident.
Carrie Crowe was traveling by bicycle along North Wilson Avenue when a truck hit the bike, knocking her to the pavement, said Morehead Police Lt. David Sexton.
“She was turning onto east Second Street when the vehicle going east bound clipped the back of her bike,” Sexton commented Monday. “The truck didn’t stop, but Crowe attempted to give us a description and said there also was a passenger in the truck.”
Sexton said the driver ran a stop sign prior to hitting Crowe’s bike. Crowe was taken by private vehicle to St. Claire Regional Medical Center and treated for cuts and an abrasion to her right arm. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the MPD at 784-7511.
