A 37-year-old Salt Lick man faces DUI with aggravating circumstances when he allegedly drove his vehicle while his 3-year-old daughter was in the car.
Larry R. Crouch, 37, was arrested Saturday about 11:30 p.m. after Morehead Police officer Patrick Smith observed Crouch swerving along KY 32 while heading toward Interstate 64 east, said Chief Mike Adams.
“He actually followed him onto the interstate and that’s where he was stopped and field tested,” Adams said. “He was discovered to allegedly be intoxicated on both alcohol and drugs. The child was released to the suspect’s fiancé.”
Crouch was charged with first offense DUI, prescription drugs not in proper container, no registration plate, no registration receipt and failure to notify the Kentucky Department of Transportation of address change.
Adams said when aggravating circumstances is added to a DUI charge, the penalties increase.
Crouch was taken to the Rowan County Detention Center and released Sunday on a $750 unsecured bond.
