Childcare training available

— Choosing a childcare facility can be a difficult decision. Fortunately here in Rowan County there are several great childcare facilities to choose from.
All the childcare providers in Rowan County receive training in child development, health issues, and facility management sponsored through Licking Valley C.A.P.
These trainings help ensure quality childcare for our youngest citizens. Childcare facilities also have the opportunity to participate in the STARS for Kids Now program. When a childcare facility participates in this program it shows that it is exceeding the minimum state requirements for licensing and certification.
When the Rowan County Community Early Childhood Council had funding, several childcare providers received mini-grants that helped them create a fun, interactive, educational environment. Unfortunately the Rowan County Community Early Childhood Council did not receive funding this year.
