Thanks to girl scouts for support of soldiers

— Editor’s Note: This letter was sent to local girl scouts for their service project that distributed cards and cookies to member of our military.
The editor:
On behalf of the soldiers of the 2-397 BN, thank you for the card and cookies you provided showing your concern and support for our efforts defending the freedom of our country. The card and cookies you provided were shared with our soldiers, both here in Lexington and those activated at Ft. Knox. We know that, for the most part, today’s soldiers are well respected but not many people take time to communicate that. Your efforts with taking time to make the card and provide the cookies helped reassure and encourage our soldiers to continue to do the best job possible. Thanks again for your thoughtfulness and support.
