— It’s not like it’s a big secret… when Rowan County plays a ball game, I WANT THEM TO WIN! And not a soul at the ball park was more tickled than the ol’ community sportswriter last Thursday night when Larry Slone and his Lady Vikings smacked Russell in the championship game! What does that other paper know…?!!!
And most of all, along with the coaches, I need to single out the sensational 2008 seniors: Erica Gregory, Danielle Jennings, Stefanie Howard, Amelia O’Hair, Tanya Hall and Laken DeHarte. Thanks for letting the sports section be a part of your legacy and winning tradition!
