Rowan Girls fall in opening round

— The Rowan County High School Lady Vikings lost to Breathitt County, champions of the 14th Region, in opening round action of the Girls Sweet Sixteen Tournament in Bowling Green Wednesday.
The final score was 60-49.
The Morehead News will have a special 6 page section as part of the Friday, March 14 edition.
The section will be filled with photos and stories recaping the Rowan County Lady Vikings’ spectacular season; their charge thru the 61st District and their supurb play and determination exhibited to become the 2008 Region 16 Champions.
Also included will be photos and stories from Wednesday's state tournament game.
